My best friend... BOOKS!

There were so many exciting things happening yesterday I don't know where to begin. I guess I will start from the beginning of the afternoon. I was getting ready for my Reading Club ceremony at my public library. Every year my library has a Reading Club for the summer and every year they have different theme. This years theme was "Deep in the heart of Texas". This year I was the only one of my family who did it as Anthony did not want to do it this year. At the beginning of the summer you get a choice of an hour or an individual book log. The book log is if you read picture books and the hour log is if you read chapter books and I choose the hour log. At the end of the summer we added up all the minutes and the total was 26 hours. When we turned in the log, the lady gave us the info about the ceremony. It was to be at 1:00 on Saturday and I was excited! At the ceremony they gave the top readers a really nice bag and book. I was not one of the top readers and we soon discovered why. On the sign in sheet,( it was to make sure you got your stuff ), it said I had read 26 BOOKS not HOURS. It was okay but I was a little mad they got it wrong. When we passed the sign in sheets, the ladies gave me a certificate and a bag full of cool stuff. It had a ball, candy, a coupon for a free hamburger and fries at Carl's Jr, cool! They also gave me a bookmark and other cool stuff. Then they served us punch and cake, which was really good! They invited is to stay until 3:00 because Insights was coming to the library to give us a presentation. We did not want to stay until three so we left to go to the pool. After we got back I wanted to read again so I selected the 7th Harry Potter and I just finished it today. It was super good! I loved it so much that I opened up the Tales of Beedle the Bard and I finished it in a day! I love the Harry Potter series, they are awesome! To end today with a bang my loose tooth fell out! I am so happy and I bet tomorrow I will have another exciting and wonderful day!
